Rae Louise Hayward Pastels and Paintings

Rae Louise Hayward is one of the founders of The Art of Living Black, the Bay Area black Artists Annual Exhibition and Open Studios Tour.

Hayward's art celebrates the beauty of African cultures: their people, sculpture, textiles, jewelry and music. Hayward incorporates a number of African motifs in her art using various mediums including acrylics, watercolors, collage, oil pastels, pen and ink, colored pencils and mixed media. Hayward's paintings and drawings represent African inspired images in luxurious, bold sweeps of color.

Hayward has shown widely throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Addditionally, her works are held in both public and private collections and are for sale in numerous local galleries and museum shops.

The artist's reception will be on Saturday, August 26, 12-3PM.
